Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Chennai

Upon arrival at Chennai International Airport, our representative greets you with a traditional welcome, assists with baggage, and escorts you to your comfortable hotel. Relax and prepare for the spiritual journey ahead. Overnight stay at Chennai.

Day 2: Chennai Sightseeing

After breakfast, embark on a full-day exploration of Chennai’s highlights: ancient Parthasarathy Temple (one of the 108 Divya Desams), vibrant Kapaleeshwarar Temple with its towering gopuram, and a leisurely walk along the iconic Marina Beach – India’s longest urban beach. Evening free for shopping or local cuisine. Overnight in Chennai.

Day 3: Chennai – Tirupati – Chennai (by car)

Early morning drive to Tirupati (3-4 hours via scenic NH716). Reach Tirumala hills for darshan at the world-famous Sri Venkateswara Temple – the richest pilgrimage site receiving massive donations annually. Special pooja arrangements if pre-booked. Return to Chennai by evening. Overnight stay.

Day 4: Chennai – Kanchipuram – Mahabalipuram (by car)

Post-breakfast, head to Kanchipuram, the “City of Thousand Temples.” Visit Kamakshi Amman (Shakti Peetham) and Varadaraja Perumal Temples with stunning silk saree weaving heritage. Continue to Mahabalipuram for UNESCO Shore Temple, Pancha Rathas, and Arjuna’s Penance rock carvings. Overnight at Mahabalipuram beach resort.

Day 5: Mahabalipuram – Pondicherry (by car)

Drive to the French colonial enclave of Pondicherry. Explore serene Sri Aurobindo Ashram, majestic Sacred Heart Basilica, French War Memorial, and unwind at Promenade & Rock Beaches with lighthouse views. Experience Auroville if time permits. Overnight in Pondicherry.

Day 6: Pondicherry – Chidambaram – Tanjore

Morning departure to Chidambaram’s Nataraja Temple – the cosmic dance hall of Lord Shiva (one of the Pancha Bhoota Sthalams representing space). Proceed to Tanjore, home to the grand Brihadeeswarar Temple (UNESCO site built by Chola kings). Evening free. Overnight in Tanjore.

Day 7: Tanjore – Trichy – Madurai

Visit Tanjore’s royal palace & art gallery, then drive to Trichy. Sightsee massive Ranganathaswamy Temple (world’s largest functioning Hindu temple), Ucchi Pillayar Temple atop Rock Fort. Continue to Madurai by evening. Overnight stay.

Day 8: Madurai Sightseeing

Day 9: Madurai – Rameshwaram

Drive to the sacred island of Rameshwaram via Pamban Bridge. Perform pooja at Ramanathaswamy Temple (one of 12 Jyotirlingas) and bathe in 22 holy theerthams. Visit Agni Tirtham beach. Overnight in Rameshwaram.

Day 10: Rameshwaram – Kanyakumari

Day 11: Kanyakumari – Kovalam

Morning visits to Thanumalayan Temple, Kumari Amman Temple, and Gandhi Memorial. Drive to Kovalam for relaxation on pristine crescent beaches, lighthouse views, and Ayurvedic spa (optional). Overnight beach resort.

Day 12: Kovalam – Trivandrum

Leisure morning at Kovalam beaches. Transfer to Trivandrum International Airport (2 hours) for departure flight. Tour ends with fond memories of South India’s divine heritage.
