Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Nagpur to Tadoba
Your private driver will pick you up from your hotel, airport or railway station in Nagpur at the agreed time. Travel to Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve by private air-conditioned car.
The journey usually takes around three to four hours, depending on the selected safari gate, hotel location, traffic and road conditions. Tadoba has several entry gates, so your hotel and safari gate should be checked together before the trip.
You can take a short break for breakfast, tea or refreshments during the journey. Families and older travellers can request additional stops.
After reaching Tadoba, check in at your selected hotel, lodge or wildlife resort. A property close to the safari gate is useful because morning safaris can begin early. Ask the hotel about early breakfast or a packed breakfast.
The rest of the day is free for rest. If you arrive early and a permit is available, you may request an optional afternoon jeep safari. This depends on the selected gate, travel date, vehicle availability and current forest rules.
If no safari is planned on Day 1, prepare your clothes, identity documents, camera and water for the next morning.
Overnight: Tadoba.
Meals: Breakfast if included in the selected accommodation plan.
Day 2: Tadoba morning and afternoon safari
Wake up early for the morning jeep safari. Your lodge or safari coordinator will confirm the reporting time. Safari timings change during the year, so follow the time shown on the current permit.
Tadoba’s forest includes dry deciduous trees, bamboo, grassland and water sources. During the safari, you may see Bengal tigers, leopards, sloth bears, wild dogs, gaur, sambar, chital, nilgai, langurs, crocodiles and many birds.
The guide may look for pugmarks, alarm calls, fresh tracks and movement in the grass. Stay inside the vehicle and follow the instructions of the forest staff. Do not play music, shout, feed animals or ask the driver to leave the permitted route.
Return to the lodge after the safari for breakfast and rest. The afternoon is kept free for lunch and relaxation.
If you have booked an afternoon safari, leave for the gate at the confirmed time. The later drive offers different light and weather conditions. The safari route depends on the allocated gate and zone.
Return to the lodge after the afternoon safari and have dinner.
Overnight: Tadoba.
Meals: Breakfast if included in the selected accommodation plan.
Day 3: Optional morning safari and return to Nagpur
You can take an optional morning jeep safari before breakfast if the permit and return schedule allow. This option suits photographers and travellers who want more time in Tadoba.
A third safari gives you another chance to observe the forest, but it cannot guarantee a tiger sighting. Wildlife movement changes every day.
After the safari, return to the lodge, have breakfast and check out. Your driver will take you back to Nagpur by private car.
You can stop for lunch or refreshments on the way. If you have a flight or train from Nagpur, keep extra time for traffic and road delays.
The tour ends at your Nagpur hotel, airport or railway station.
Meals: Breakfast if included in the selected accommodation plan.

FAQs
Q. 1: How many safaris are included in this tour?
The recommended plan includes two jeep safaris. A third morning safari can be added on Day 3 if a permit is available and the return schedule allows it.
Q. 2: Is a tiger sighting guaranteed in Tadoba?
No. Tadoba is a natural tiger reserve. Tigers and other animals move freely, so no responsible tour operator can guarantee a sighting.
Q. 3: Should I choose a morning or afternoon safari?
Both shifts offer a different experience. Morning safaris are cooler and begin early. Afternoon safaris offer warmer light and may be more comfortable during some seasons. The best option depends on your travel date and permit availability.
Q. 4: Which safari vehicle is used in Tadoba?
Tadoba commonly uses open 4×4 vehicles for jeep safaris. The final vehicle, seating, gate and zone depend on the authorised booking system.
Q. 5: Which Tadoba gate is best?
The best gate depends on your hotel, route, travel date and permit availability. Choose the lodge and safari gate together before confirming the tour.
Q. 6: Can I take a full-day safari?
Full-day safari availability depends on the selected gate, travel date and current forest department rules. It should be added only after official confirmation.
Q. 7: What should I carry for the safari?
Carry your original identity document, comfortable clothes, a light jacket during winter, sun protection, drinking water, personal medicines and a camera or binoculars if required.
Q. 8: Can I continue from Tadoba to Pench or Kanha?
Yes. You can extend the tour with additional nights and private road transfers to Pench or Kanha. These destinations should not be added to the 3-day schedule without extending the trip.
Q. 9: Is Tadoba suitable for families?
Yes, if the family is comfortable with early mornings, open safari vehicles, uneven forest roads and the uncertainty of wildlife sightings.
Q. 10: Can the tour start from Nagpur airport?
Yes. Pickup can be arranged from Nagpur airport, railway station or hotel, subject to the agreed pickup time.
Q. 11: Can I return to Nagpur on Day 3 after a morning safari?
Yes, but leave enough time for the safari, breakfast, check-out and road journey. Travellers with a flight or train should keep a generous time gap.
